Good to Know
Most camping pitches designated for caravans can also be used by motorhomes.
If you have a very large or heavy motorhome, we offer special pitches with a firmer surface and a wider entrance for better suitability.
All pitches have access to electricity, as well as water supply and wastewater disposal facilities.
Please note that due to fluctuating electricity prices, we may need to adjust our prices during certain periods. We closely monitor price developments and will lower the prices again if costs decrease.
We provide at least 7 days’ notice of any potential price increases through announcements and emails to the affected campers.

ACTIVITIES
Our hostel grounds offer numerous recreational opportunities: table tennis, bouncing pillow, giant chess, basketball hoops, football fields, TIPI, and a campfire area.
The best beach in Køge Bay is just 1.8 km away and can be reached via a pleasant, well-lit, and car-free path.
Indoor activities: board games, table football, and classrooms (available for a fee).
Use nature as an outdoor learning space!
We are happy to organize campfire events, stick bread baking, as well as play & learn activities.

Nature-Based Educational Offer for School Camps
You only have 20 minutes? No problem! A train ride takes you directly to City Hall Square. Ishøj Station is just 1 km away, and the bus stop is right around the corner.
Everything Within Walking Distance
- Beach, marina, and shopping center are easily accessible on foot.
- The ARKEN Museum, known for its well-organized school programs, is within walking distance.
- The Havhytten Maritime School, part of Naturcenter Ishøj, is also nearby and offers nature-based educational activities for school camps.

**The daily price includes an overnight stay with breakfast and a packed lunch including ½ liter of water. You can dine out in the city or enjoy your evening meal with us.
Campfire and Tipi
Experience the magic at Ishøj Strand Danhostel – Enjoy the coziness of a campfire and tipi.
As the sun sets over Ishøj Strand and the evening colors paint the sky, there’s nothing more enchanting than gathering around our campfire site by the tipi in the birch grove. The picturesque outdoor setting makes every moment special, allowing you to immerse yourself in nature and the atmosphere.
The surrounding area offers a variety of activities for all ages. Take a stroll along Ishøj Beach, listen to the waves, and collect treasures from the sand and seashells. Build creative sandcastles with family and friends, or, for the more adventurous, explore the nearby forest trails. Discover the rich flora and fauna and be inspired by the secrets of the forest.
At our campfire site, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to share cozy moments with your fellow travelers. Bring a guitar and let the chords follow the flames as you sing your favorite songs under the starry sky. Share stories and laughter while roasting marshmallows and shortbread over the fire.

The Campfire Package
– Everything you need for a cozy evening
With our Campfire Package for the tipi, you get everything you need to create the perfect campfire experience at Ishøj Beach. This is a do-it-yourself experience – simply book the package and pick up all the materials at our reception.
When booking a Campfire Package, you receive two handcarts:
- One cart with firewood, kindling materials, and all necessary equipment.
- Another cart filled with warm blankets, lambskins, and soft cushions, ensuring maximum comfort around the flames.
If you prefer not to start the fire yourself, you can pre-book our fire-starting service for an extra fee.
Even if the weather doesn’t cooperate, with rain or cold, our tipi is available. Inside, you can safely light a fire, with space for up to 20 people, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere surrounded by nature.
